Kurt to get majority of seat time in Kyle Busch Motorsports’ first year in series

Kyle Busch has turned to a familiar face to get
his Kyle Busch Motorsports first-year Nationwide Series team off to a
good start — his brother, Kurt.
Kurt Busch will drive the No. 54 Toyota in 20
series races this coming season, with Kyle Busch expected to fill out
the remainder of the schedule, it was announced Thursday.
Kurt Busch also will run a limited number of Nationwide races with Phoenix Racing, starting with the season opener at Daytona.
Kyle Busch is the all-time leader in Nationwide
victories with 51, having surpassed Mark Martin’s record of 49 this past
season. He has won at least eight series races in each of the past four
Kurt Busch won the first Nationwide race he
started, at Texas in 2006. He has three wins in 12 career starts,
including a victory last year at Watkins Glen, his only start in 2011.
Kyle Busch Motorsports debuted as a Camping
World Truck Series program in 2010. In two years, the team has amassed
16 wins, 14 by the team owner.
