Antique car show coming to Old Town Manassas

More than 160 antique cars filled the Manassas Museum lawn during last year’s show. The 34th Annual Edgar Rohr Memorial Antique Car Meet will be held Sept. 19.

Manassas Car Show
An antique car show will be the featured attraction during a full day of activities Sept. 19 in Old Town Manassas.

A colorful array of pointed tail fins, throaty Corvettes, sputtering Model Ts and sleek Jaguars will be among the more than 150 antique cars displayed on the Manassas Museum lawn during the 34th annual Edgar Rohr Memorial Antique Car Meet.

The vehicles will be on display from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show and parking are free.

Last year 160 unusual vehicles not only filled the museum lawn but spilled onto surrounding Old Town streets during the show sponsored by the Bull Run Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America and the museum.

Families may take part in an automobile-themed scavenger hunt at the museum, with a special $1 admission. Vendors will also sell car accessories for collectors, and a “car corral” will feature new and collector cars for sale.

Model T Ford enthusiasts will assemble and disassemble a Model T from component parts at 2 p.m. during the meet.

Awards will be presented in 22 different classic/antique classes-for street rod and modified, military vehicles, foreign vehicles and driver classes. Those entering cars will receive free admission to the museum and will be eligible for a door prize drawing.

The meet is one of several events taking place that day in Old Town. The Old Town Manassas Business Association will sponsor a Sidewalk Sale at shops throughout the downtown area, including Echoes, the museum store.

The Harris Pavilion will host the sixth annual Old World Festival and the regular Saturday Farmers Market will be across from the Manassas Railway Depot.

The museum is located at 9101 Prince William St., Manassas.
