Porsche 919 Hybrid Lemans Challenger and 911 RSR Racecar
The 37th annual Ault Park Concours d’Elegance Sunday, June 8, 2014, in partnership with Porsche of the Village, an Ault Park Concours sponsor, has arranged to display the Porsche 919 Hybrid LeMans Challenger racecar for the first time in the U.S. – only previously unveiled at the 2014 Geneva, Switzerland Motor Show – along with the 2014 Porsche 911 RSR (Type 991) racecar. The 2015 Ford Mustang will also be featured, celebrating 50 years of the Mustang.
The featured theme of the Ault Park Concours is Art of the Automobile – Great American Design, with special displays highlighting the 100th anniversary of Maserati, 50 years of the Mustang, and Microcars. The Ault Park Concours includes thirteen other classes of classic, foreign, and sports automobiles and motorcycles.
The Porsche 919 Hybrid prototype is a 2.0-liter V4 – a small capacity gasoline engine with Lithium battery power and is being piloted in the World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of LeMans. The 911 RSR debuted at the 24 Hours of LeMans and is set to compete again this year. For detailed specs on the two automobiles, go to http://press.porsche.com/news/release.php?id=852.
April 17, 2014, marked the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the original Ford Mustang and each 2015 model celebrates the milestone with a badge on the instrument panel that includes the galloping pony logo and the words “Mustang – Since 1964.” Mustang will continue to be built in the United States at Flat Rock Assembly Plant. “From day one, we knew if we were going to build a new Mustang, we had to do it right,” said Dave Pericak, Chief Engineer, Ford Mustang. “We built a new Mustang from the ground up that is quicker, better-looking, more refined and more efficient, without losing any of the raw appeal that people have associated with Mustang for half a century.” The 2015 Mustang will also appear at the Ault Park Concours Mustang Seminar at the Carnegie Center as well as the Hangar Party at Lunken Airport on Saturday, June 7.
